Staying in the Studio
Follow basic studio rules to ensure overall comfort and safety.
  1. The maximum allowed number of rehearsal participants is 8. If more people need to be in rehearsal, this must be discussed in advance.
  2. It is forbidden to have liquids in open containers (coffee cups, mugs, etc.) in the room. Drinks are allowed only in closed containers (bottles, thermos cups). After drinking, make sure the container is closed. If you damage equipment by spilling liquid on it, you will be responsible for compensating the damage.
  3. Be calm and friendly in the studio. Personal conflicts, problems, arguments, and negative attitudes should stay outside. We reserve the right to deny you future access to the studio if you behave in a conflicting manner toward other musicians or studio staff.
  4. Eating and smoking (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapes, IQOS, glo, etc.) are prohibited in the rehearsal room. You can snack at the reception or in the lounge area. Smoking is only allowed outside, in front of the entrance, where an ashtray is available. Please be careful and do not leave trash behind.
Equipment Usage Rules
Skilled musicians are those who follow safety rules when working with equipment and are proficient in its efficient use, such as optimal setup, connection, and so on. To conduct a proper rehearsal and avoid damaging equipment, follow these instructions:
  1. Before connecting or switching anything, first lower the master volume on the sound/source device (mixer/guitar amplifier/monitor/guitar/synthesiser etc).
  2. Before turning on or off any equipment (amplifiers, mixers, synthesisers, effects processors, monitors, and other sound/source devices), always lower the master volume first.
  3. Do not frequently turn equipment on and off—it reduces its lifespan and can lead to malfunctions. If you need to replace cables, connect a pedal, or step outside for a smoke, lower the volume first, then proceed with your actions.
  4. Proper connection order: first connect all necessary cables, turn on pedals and processors, any external equipment, set the volume on the instruments and pedals, and only then increase the master volume on the amplifier or mixer, gradually raising it to the desired level.
  5. If the equipment is off, first lower the master volume, then turn it on, connect all external devices (guitar, pedal, microphone, etc.), set the volume on those devices, check the amplifier or mixer settings (equaliser, sensitivity, Gain, Level, etc.), set them to medium values (at “12 o’clock”), and only then gradually raise the master volume to the desired level.
  6. If you’re unsure about something, feel that something isn’t right, or believe the equipment isn’t working properly, immediately call the staff and explain the situation in detail—they will help you resolve the issue and use the equipment in the best possible way. If something is indeed wrong and the equipment is faulty, the administrator will take it for repairs and provide you with working equipment as a replacement. If something breaks during a rehearsal, don’t be afraid to notify the administrator. If no safety rules were violated and there was no malicious intent, there’s no need to worry—we understand that all equipment has a limited lifespan and will eventually break.
  7. Never attempt to fix equipment yourself (even if you have experience or qualifications). If you find any parts that have fallen out of equipment or instruments, please immediately hand them over to the administrator to make repairs easier.
